A Deep Dive on Your Payment Tools

Running a venue means juggling a hundred things at once, and chasing down payments shouldn't eat up your day. The anxiety of waiting on a deposit, the awkwardness of sending another reminder, the fear of a booking falling through... these are stresses you shouldn't have to carry.

Eventective's payment tools are built to take that weight off your shoulders. When payments run smoothly, your clients feel confident and cared for, your revenue stays predictable, and you can focus more on what you do best.

Here's how Eventective helps you get there:

A Payment Schedule That Runs Itself

The centerpiece of Eventective's payment tools is the payment schedule—and once you set it up for an event, it runs on its own.

You decide how you want to collect money: maybe a 50% deposit up front, with the final balance due two weeks before the event. You name each payment, set the due dates, and choose when you want automated email reminders to go out: 14 days before, 7 days before, and/or right on the due date. From that point on, your client receives reminders with a secure link to pay by card, right on schedule.

And when you need to make a one-off request—say, a client wants to pay ahead of time, or you need to collect a last-minute add-on—you can send a manual payment request in just a few clicks. Your client gets it instantly.

What Your Clients Experience

When a client receives a payment reminder from Eventective, it looks polished and professional. They get a secure link that takes them directly to a payment page where they can pay by credit card—they don’t need an account or a special login. They get an email receipt for their records, and you get notified. Everything is tracked in Eventective, too.

No Hidden Software Fees

Many platforms charge a percentage of your bookings just to use their management tools. Eventective doesn't. For subscribers, booking and payment tools are available for unlimited use at no extra charge.

You will encounter standard processing fees, though—these are charged by the payment processors (Stripe and Square). The industry-standard rate is 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, plus a small 0.3% Eventective processing fee.

If You Don't Use Stripe or Square

Eventective connects with Stripe and Square to power its automated payment tools. But if your business uses PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or another method, you're not left out. You can still use Eventective to send professional invoices and contracts, and you can manually request payments with custom instructions that point clients to wherever you accept money. You'll just handle the reminders yourself rather than having the system automate them.
