About the Gallery: Christine Klassen Gallery / CKG showcases a wide survey of contemporary art including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. We represent artists at all stages of their creative careers, from emerging to established, and strive to stimulate gallery visitors through innovative projects and exhibitions. A cornerstone of Calgary’s art community since 2007, CKG relocated to a 4600-square foot mid-century warehouse in February 2013, and is currently one of Calgary’s largest commercial gallery spaces. The Location: CKG is conveniently located just off Macleod Trail on 50th Avenue SE in the Manchester Industrial area. The main gallery space is roughly 3000 square feet with four ‘U’ shaped vistas perfect for intimate congregations, and a 16-foot serving/bar area. Features of the space include high exposed ceilings, large industrial windows that provide ample natural light, two salvaged metal doors closing off the back area, and original sealed concrete floors. Capacity: Whether you’re looking to host an intimate affair, a cocktail reception, boutique wedding, or an innovative community gathering like a movie night or local fashion show, CKG is the perfect space to host your next event. We can comfortably accommodate up to 125 people for a cocktail-style reception / maximum 80 for weddings.
