About The Music House Museum

Looking for a unique, exciting yet affordable venue for your special event? The Music House Museum is the Perfect Place for a Unique Wedding. Just 8 miles north and east of downtown Traverse City Michigan, the Music House Museum is a charming 100 year-old dairy barn that now houses a one-of-a-kind collection of rare antique automated musical instruments. All of the fascinating instruments play a huge array of music and are tastefully displayed in turn-of-the-century settings. Filled to the rafters with a 12-rank 1917 pipe organ and a huge 1922 hand-carved Belgian dance organ stretching the width of the balcony, the Museum creates a beautiful atmosphere of nostalgia of a by-gone era. Your group can mingle in the Hurry Back Saloon with its long Mahogany bar, Italian crystal chandelier and working orchestrions and nickelodeons; wander through the Acme General Store with its pot-bellied stove, shelves of old-fashioned remedies, tools and food stuffs, and hear the rare Regina Corona Music Box; and visit the gallery of juke boxes, phonographs, early televisions and radios. The Music House Museum can comfortably seat evening groups of 60-80 guests in the main museum with a theatre-style capacity of 80 and standing capacity of 125. Outside events are welcomed, utilizing tents, portable restrooms, with ample parking.
