Black History Month Cookout

Lofi was a hit for the Black History Month Cookout that we hosted at CSUCI. To start, it was great communicating with the owner, Steve. Strong and collaborative communication throughout the planning process; they were responsive, flexible, and worked closely with us to provide a quote that aligned with our events’ needs and budget. Steve’s professional experience in suggesting alternatives to make it cost efficient was something that I truly appreciated. We were originally going for tri-tip but after he messaged me, “people really love and prefer the Brisket as the more tender smoked meat,” I went with his suggestion. On the day of, students enjoyed the quality and flavor of the food, people came back for seconds specifically the brisket! Overall, this was a success, and we look forward to future opportunities to use their catering services.

Lofi Smoke & Grill took extra time & care with our holiday party catering order and THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! The food was hand-delivered by the Lofi Team, and it arrived hot & ready to eat! Everybody on our staff at Lassens in Ventura was talking about how high quality and enjoyable every selection was, right down to the homemade sauces! Lofi is a TOP NOTCH catering service in Ventura! Everything they do is delicious. They've catered several events for our company now, and everyone always raves about their BBQ and delicious sides. They are fresh, flavorful, and above all, they are some of the kindest folks you will ever meet. Can't recommend them enough. I’m not someone who normally writes reviews, but I felt compelled to share this because Steve and Lofi Smoke & Grill absolutely deserve it. If you’re considering them for your event and don’t book them, you’re seriously missing out.
We had over 170 guests at our wedding, and to this day (we got married in November 2025), people are still talking about the food. Everyone always says that guests never remember the food at weddings but in our case, it was the complete opposite. Almost every conversation started with, “Okay, wedding food is alright and all but GOTTT DAMNNNN, the food was incredible!!!” That’s when you know it left an impression. We had a hell of a night, dance floor raging, catching the tail end of Game 7 of the World series, and with so many stories for the night, how good the food was gets included every time!
Beyond the incredible food, what truly sets Lofi apart is the heart behind it. It’s a true family operation, and you can feel that warmth and care in everything they do. They brought such an authentic, generous, and positive energy to our wedding day that made the entire experience even more special.
Steve and his family are absolute gems, and I genuinely believe they’re just getting started. Do yourself a favor and book them now because it won’t be long before everyone else catches on.
