Our Groom's Cabin is full of history, having been constructed of salvaged materials from various old and historic structures. The logs were once the supports in a 100-year-old dairy barn on Fobes Hill in Snohomish. The solid Douglas Fir door with iron strap hinges was handcrafted by Green Gates’ owner/builder using materials salvaged from the same dairy barn. The ceiling beams were salvaged from the Wonderland Park boathouse here on Flowing Lake, originally built in 1940.

Staying true to our "salvage and repurpose" style, our first-class restrooms have personality like few others. The doors were salvages from a hotel in Seattle. One of the sinks in the ladies restroom was once a desk at the University of Washington. The sink counter in the men's restroom was once a fire door - and the doorknob is still attached!
