About The San Diego Museum of Art

With an encyclopedic collection of more than 20,000 objects, the Museum is a significant cultural resource presenting works of art from around the globe. Located in the heart of Balboa Park, the Museum is a special place where you can experience San Diego’s natural beauty, history, art, and culture. Opening its doors in 1926, the Museum’s Spanish Colonial-style architecture took inspiration from the 1915 Panama-California international exposition. The Museum’s indoor galleries and outdoor sculpture court and garden offer unique settings for corporate events, private parties, weddings, seminars, and meetings.
