About Wishart

Lonnie Wishart’s work grew from the Western Canadian landscape, and expresses a strong sense of place. Her images have been widely published and exhibited. Lonnie was born in southern Manitoba, and she and her husband Bruce lived or worked in most parts of Canada before settling in Prince Rupert. Among her recent work were images displayed with the award-winning exhibit “Treasures of the Tsimshian from the Dundas Collection,” at the Museum of Northern BC, the Royal BC Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, and the Museum of Anthropology.
