Awesome event space! — An Eventective User

The Olie was the perfect site for our rehearsal dinner! My guests loved the indoor and outdoor spaces, and the Saucee Sicilian food truck made catering so easy! I needed minimal decorations because the atmosphere, brick walls, high ceilings and hedge wall were the best backdrop!

We had our 40 yr high school class reunion here and it was a Big hit. The owner was great to deal with and the amenities were everything I needed and more (ice chest, ice machine, refrigerator, sink, handy mirrors, giant Jenga, cornhole, two giant tvs, iPad loaded with apps to include Spotify, microphone already programmed through the speakers, and even a new, large awning outside.) The cost was reasonable; much better than other venues. The building is charming, historic, the music system superb (inside and out), and the outdoor area was beautiful and relaxing. There were fans and heaters for the outdoor space. The lighting and seating outdoors was very impressive! My classmates raved about the space. We extended our party an extra hour because no one was ready to leave. They set up the tables for you, to your specifications, and provide table coverings in black or white. The small touches were important also. For instance, upon arrival the lights were on, there was music greeting us from the sound system and the ice chest was already full of ice! I made some posters saying “watch your step” for a few places on the north side of the building because there are some tricky bits outside and a raised metal strip in that doorway. Since we were all nearing 60yrs or older, I thought we needed some warning signs. At the reunion, I forgot about one little concrete “hill” outside; (coming from north door to east side of building), tripped and almost fell. My only regret was that, as the host, I was so busy I didn’t get enough pictures of the outdoor space, or with the “better together” neon sign!! So don’t forget to do that! I was also glad I used “eventective.” A few people asked me how I found the place and I was able to tell them about how easy it was to get venue information using eventective.
