You leave an event at STORIED with the feeling that you’re part of the special fabric of New York City, a kind of magic that is larger than yourself. Part of the West Chelsea Historic District, STORIED was originally home to one of the city’s first taxi garages in the early 1900s. In later chapters, it served as Annie Leibovitz’s home and studio, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet’s performance space, and most recently, Chelsea Factory, whose sole mission was to support the artists, ensembles, and arts organizations of New York City.
