My now wife and I recently eloped to NYC to get married. Due to the short-notice of our plans, we were initially planning on getting married at the Manhattan City Clerk’s Office. However, after consulting with our photographer Cynthia Chung, we decided we should instead plan on having our ceremony somewhere else like Central Park and we needed to find an officiate. Cynthia gave us a couple of recommendations including Rev. Annie. We checked out her website and decided that we’d like to move forward with her so we reached out via her website contact form. She offers several tiers of ceremony, and we decided that for our intents and purposes we would go with her Simple Ceremony option. She quickly emailed us back and we scheduled a video-call consultation. She was extremely warm, friendly, and helpful! We told her our thoughts and ideas and what type of ceremony we were looking to have. She gave really helpful insight and advice and answered a ton of questions we had, especially regarding the legal aspects of marriage such as how to apply for and receive a marriage license. She gave several good location options and we eventually decided upon either having the ceremony on our hotel suite’s private balcony (if it was large enough) or to have it in Central Park. She even helped us come up with a primary, secondary, and tertiary plan depending on how things ended up playing out such as the location, marriage license, etc. Due to the short-notice, she already had her mid-day timeslot reserved on our wedding day, so we decided upon her morning time slot. Even choosing the second-to-cheapest offering, Annie sent us a form to fill out to further get an understanding of what we expected from the ceremony. With the Simple Service, however, you aren’t able to review the ceremony text beforehand. This was not an issue for us, and the ceremony was beautiful! On the day of the ceremony, Annie got there early to help walk us through how she was going to do the ceremony and work with me regarding the marriage license. The ceremony was very thoughtful and perfect for my wife and I. We will never forget our special day and the ceremony that Annie conducted for us. We would strongly recommend her to anyone needing a very experienced officiate, especially if you are also planning on eloping!

Cannot Recommend Rev. Annie Enough! — An Eventective User from New York City

Getting married in the time of Covid is difficult — but choosing your officiant doesn't have to be. Rev. Annie helped us navigate the changing New York City guidelines with ease, so we were able to enjoy a beautiful Central Park wedding ceremony in early June 2021. Rev. Annie's attention to detail and thoughtful care made the whole process way less daunting than my husband and I could have ever imagined. Because Rev. Annie had walked us through everything beforehand (on Zoom and via email), my husband and I felt calm on the day of our wedding and were able to spend time enjoying with friends and family instead of worrying about the details. Rev. Annie helped us create a personal, intimate ceremony that reflected my husband and I as a couple while still retaining many traditional elements. My husband wanted to incorporate several traditions from the Church of England (as many of his family members could not travel from the UK due to Covid restrictions) and Rev. Annie incorporated these elements while balancing my own wants for a more modern ceremony. In the end, we had a beautiful, personalized wedding ceremony that many of our guests complimented in the days and weeks afterwards. I don't think there was a dry eye in sight! We truly cannot recommend Rev. Annie enough.

We were having trouble finding an officiant who knew the ins and outs of Project Cupid Zoom weddings and reached out to see if she was the answer. She was! She reached out the same day we messaged to touch base and discuss what we needed. Annie has performed over 200 zoom weddings since March and knows exactly how to guide couples and complete the ceremony according to Project Cupid guidelines. We opted for the shorter legal signing service and were pleasantly surprised to find that she still made it meaningful and special. Our witnesses want her to perform our actual wedding one day! Rev. Annie was incredible. We spoke with her by phone and gave her a brief overview of how we met and our religious background. We had a small ceremony of 25 people.
