Constructed in Moss Point, Mississippi, The Creole Queen is an authentic paddlewheeler powered by a 24-foot diameter paddlewheel and the most modern, fuel efficient GE diesel-electric system ever installed in a boat of this class. She first took her maiden voyage on October 1, 1983. Even though the Creole Queen would have been right at home in the New Orleans of 1850, passengers of that era could never have conceived of a paddlewheeler with her luxury, comfort and safety. Outer decks trimmed with patterned wrought iron hearken to a bygone era. Opulent interiors accented by Victorian draperies, soft period lighting, and Louisiana Cypress create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The Creole Queen is available for parties, weddings, events, conventions, and meetings. She can hold up to 800 people on a charter. You can rent out one or more rooms or the whole boat.
