Great place for a rehearsal dinner — An Eventective User from Cafe Hollander - Downer

I got married this past summer at Hubbard Park in Shorewood, and had such a hard time finding a place in the area to hold our rehearsal dinner, because everywhere we looked had very expensive food and beverage minimums and some places didn't even have a private space available for larger groups. We are so happy that we finally found Cafe Hollander on Downer Ave. The food and beverage minimum was very reasonable, and we had the entire upper floor of the restaurant to ourselves (with no additional room rental fee), which is a very cool and unique space. Since many of our guests were from out of town, we wanted to impress them with a unique Milwaukee restaurant, and Cafe Hollander was perfect. We worked with Amber and Jamie, and they were great! Jamie met with us in person to show us the space and talk about our options, and Amber set up our food and beverage order. Both of them were very quick to respond to emails and helped us plan exactly what we needed. We did a buffet dinner and open bar, but there were a ton of different, very flexible food and beverage/bar options that we could choose from. The rehearsal dinner went very smoothly. We had everything we needed and everything was served according to schedule. The food was amazing, and our guests raved about the food (even the vegetarians were very happy!). Overall, we recommend Cafe Hollander on Downer to anyone for their rehearsal dinner!

Rehearsal Dinner — An Eventective User from Cafe Hollander - Mequon

We had a great experience hosting our rehearsal dinner at Cafe Hollander - Mequon. The staff was very attentive throughout the entire evening, bringing out all the food we had ordered promptly, taking drink orders, and checking in to see if there was anything else we needed. They were easy to work with and very pleasant. The food was delicious! I would definitely use this venue again for events in the future.
