Wedding day was 10-21-23. It was perfect. I fell in love with the space the first time I saw it and when I met Steve I was sold. He was so great to work with and took very good care of us. Our day was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better. Steve, thank uou for your kindness and calmness. I didn't stress at all the day of our event. Wonderful Venue — An Eventective User

Cellar 222 is a beautiful space, perfect for a small to medium sized wedding. We had our wedding reception at Cellar 222 on 9/29/23. We reserved the ground floor and the bottom floor; the bottom floor being used for the dinner portion and the ground floor being used for our cocktail hour, bartender and dance floor. Steve (venue owner) was an absolute joy to work with throughout our planning process, all the way to wedding day. He made sure that we were coordinating with vendors and keeping all parties informed of the timeline. Additionally, he helped set up the space on the big day, and made himself available to address any questions/concerns that we had. Would gladly recommend Cellar 222 as a venue for any event.

We cannot say enough great things about this venue and is owner, Steve. The venue itself is beautiful and requires very little as far as decorating. Our guests loved this place. Steve provided up front pricing and communicated clearly every step of the way. We ended up having our rehearsal here the night before and he accommodated every request we made. The day of, we literally worried about nothing. It was handled! Pro tip: use vendors from his preferred vendor list and you will have a hassle free event. They know their stuff!!

Cinco de mayo/Star Wars wedding. It was easy to book, very friendly, amazing bridal suite, awesome kitchen for the caterers and spectacular set up for the bartenders. A stage for the bar and a beautiful fireplace for ceremony. Nothing but an awesome experience, the owner will help with any questions and even called the linen company for me because they couldn't get it together! We can not say enough great things about the venue and it’s fantastic owner Steve. Every step of the way Steve was punctual helpful, easy going, and made fantastic recommendations for local vendors. On the day of the wedding Steve was with us for pretty much everything, happily helping to resolve any issues with decor, vendors or managing our family. The venue itself is a show stopper. All our family and friends loved the space. Doesn’t require really any extras. Tables, chairs, speaker system all top notch. Do plan ahead for street parking depending on the time of your event.

My husband and I just got married here and I can’t recommend it enough. Great location, beautiful architecture & interior (we honestly didn’t need many decorations at all because the space was so gorgeous on its own), loved the bridal suite, plenty of parking & the vibe was exactly what we wanted for our special day. It was my dream venue and I’m in love with it. Steve, the owner, is amazing to work with and was so helpful the entire way through. He made us feel comfortable & informed from the very first meeting. He was very accommodating & was there every step of the way. They also work with a lot of great vendors that they recommend to you. Steve (the owner) was so great to work with. He was quick to respond to my initial emails asking for details about the venue and all my questions throughout the planning process. He provided so many good tips and made us feel very relaxed about the wedding process. We visited the venue several times before the day of our wedding and Steve was great at answering our questions and helping to plan everything out. On the day of the wedding, he sent me a text letting me know everything was set up and ready to go and it was a relief. Our wedding was great and we got so many compliments on Cellar 222. It is so naturally beautiful so there wasnt much extra decorating for us to do. Overall, a beautiful and great venue. Such a great experience and I will continue to recommend to those looking for wedding venues.

Cellar 222 is an absolutely beautiful space. For our small wedding of only 15 guests, we wanted a venue that didn't feel cavernous, but was large and elegant enough to fit the special occasion. While this venue can hold a lot more people, its layout and Tuscan wine cellar decor made it feel cozy and intimate for our ceremony and reception. In fact, the furniture and decor along the walls are so beautiful that we didn't need to bring many decorations of our own, which was perfect since we were trying to keep our day as easy and low-stress as possible. The owner, Steve, is AMAZING. He is so kind and easygoing, and we knew the moment we met him and saw the venue that Cellar 222 was the way to go. He recommended great vendors that frequently work with the venue so the planning process was a breeze, but we also appreciated the flexibility of choosing our own bakery for the cake. Overall, I am SO glad that we chose Cellar 222 for our wedding. I felt so pretty coming down the staircase in my dress to walk down the aisle, and everyone loved the reception that followed and kept talking about how beautiful and unique the venue is. We used Cellar 222 for our wedding reception in March of 2023. We hosted a cocktail style reception with a full bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a 6 piece band for slightly over 150 guests. We had a lot of people in the space, yet it never seemed too crowded. The two floors allowed our guests to spread out and created some separation for those that wanted to dance the night away with the band upstairs (shout out to KC All-Stars) and those who wanted to spend the time talking in the more subdued downstairs. It was an amazing evening and we could not be more happy with Cellar 222. Steve did a great job of supporting us and giving us advice along the way. The venue is beautiful and needs no decoration, although we added a few just make it extra special...including lots of candles! From the moment we walked through the space for our initial tour we knew it was the right spot for our event. Aside from the venue being turnkey ready some of the definite benefits of this venue is the flexibility you have to use outside vendors. We opted to use several of the preferred vendors that Steve provided us and they too were awesome to work with (shout out to Top Shelf Bartending, Dutzel Catering, and Sugar Beats Bake Shop). Additionally, as a gay couple we are always very attuned to how welcoming the vendors we worked with seemed in the process. Not all businesses are as open minded as we would hope and it was import to us to work with people who are supportive of our tribe. From the start Steve was awesome to work with and it was definitely apparent he was a supportive ally. We honestly have not one concern, complaint, or issue and highly recommend Cellar 222! Cellar 222 is beautiful, affordance, flexible, and in a great location with lots of parking for guests. You will not be disappointed!

We couldn’t be more grateful for Steve and Cellar 222 for making our 4-week, whirlwind wedding planning process a reality! My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in the spring, and decided after many years together that we would, in fact, like to get married and throw together a wedding prior to the birth of our son. A quick Google search connected me with Steve and Cellar 222, and within a week of being engaged we secured the venue and got to planning. Steve was communicative and helpful throughout. His recommendations and preferred vendor list made the process easy and affordable. We had an intimate ceremony and dinner by the fireplace, followed by a larger party upstairs complete with DJ and open bar. We could never have imagined how well, beautiful, and FUN it would have turned out, and would not have been able to pull it off without Steve. Great rehearsal dinner for 90 — An Eventective User from Prairie Village

Our Rehearsal Dinner for 90 fit perfectly into the Cellar 222 two-story layout. We were coached by the owners to use their recommended bartenders with great success. The food vendor, one of the area's best BBQ caterers provided our guests great ambiance, food and drink in an chic urban setting. Everyone raved about the convenience to downtown, free parking and unique, Tuscan decor. Scott and Steve both helped with our planning, providing many options for setup. GaryG
