Fr. Donnelly Hall accommodates up to 320 guests in a theater-style or cocktail-style setup with mingling and standing tables, and up to 250 guests for a seated event. A connected Gathering Space is ideal for cocktail hours and pre-function receptions.
Every rental includes setup and teardown, (32) 72" round tables, (3) 30"×96" rectangle tables, (6) cocktail tables, (320) chairs, in-house A/V (dual projectors, two drop-down screens, podium, microphone), programmable color-changing lighting with three chandeliers set within illuminated ceiling alcoves, on-site event coordinator, full access to the catering kitchen, cleaning service, and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout.
Yes — 68 free onsite parking spots in the Cathedral lot. Additional free overflow parking is available at the neighboring Folly Theatre, subject to availability. With sufficient advance notice, the Bishop Hogan Center can coordinate with the Folly to reserve dedicated spaces for larger events.
Yes. Fr. Donnelly Hall includes dual projectors with two drop-down screens, a podium, and a microphone at no additional cost. Both conference rooms include wall-mounted flat-screen TVs with HDMI hookups and high-speed Wi-Fi.
We welcome you to work with any licensed catering company you choose — our catering kitchen is fully available for your caterer's use. We're currently curating a list of trusted local vendors and are happy to offer a few recommendations if you'd like suggestions as you plan.
We strongly recommend hiring a licensed catering company or bartending service for your event. If you choose to provide your own alcohol, the Bishop Hogan Center does not sell alcohol on the premises — no cash bar or sale of alcohol is permitted, and anyone serving must be 21 or older. If alcohol is served, licensed security is required for the duration of the event. We work closely with Kansas City Ultimate Security ($45/hr per guard); off-duty Kansas City Police Department officers are also available upon request.
Yes. We offer two dedicated wedding packages that include a Cathedral ceremony. The Immaculate Wedding Package ($6,000) is available to non-parishioner couples and includes the Cathedral ceremony plus a full evening reception in Fr. Donnelly Hall through midnight. Active members of our parish family are invited to explore the "Golden Dome, Golden Day" Parish Family Wedding Package ($4,500), priced with our parish community in mind. All Cathedral ceremonies are subject to diocesan marriage preparation requirements — please contact us to discuss eligibility and next steps.
Yes — the Bishop Hogan Center is fully ADA-accessible, including an elevator and accessible restrooms. Both conference rooms are on the first floor for easy access.
Yes — in addition to Fr. Donnelly Hall, we offer two boardrooms available for individual booking. The Large Conference Room seats up to 20 with modular tables that reconfigure for various layouts. The Small Conference Room seats up to 10 with a single conference table. Both feature wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and free onsite parking.
Our standard rental hours run from 9:00 AM to midnight. Additional hours may be available upon request — please contact us to discuss your needs.

I hosted a Breakfast in the morning and Prom in the evening. I couldn't have picked a better space. The views were stunning, the Bishop Hogan Center was absolutely gorgeous. The lighting was perfect. And Regan, the Bishop Hogan event coordinator, was nothing short of majestic. You should host whatever event you have planned next at the Bishop Hogan Center.
