Cool Meadows is a working horse farm, and every day here reflects that purpose. The pastures are lived on, the fences are mended, and the work of the land continues as it should. This is not a staged setting or a curated backdrop—it is a farm in motion. At Short Haven, we are thoughtfully opening our gates to share that experience. Through small, guided farm visits, guests are invited to step into daily farm life—learning about our Highland cattle, interacting with our animals in a respectful and educational way, and gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to care for and live alongside the land. We believe there is value in slowing down, in getting a little dirt on your boots, and in experiencing something that is genuine rather than polished. This is a working farm, meant to be shared. We offer highland cow cuddles with mini-horses and lambs. We can host almost any type of event (weddings, showers, birthday parties, celebrations, etc).
