The Walter Place is an 1859 antebellum estate on 13 acres in Holly Springs, Mississippi, about an hour from Memphis and 30 minutes from Oxford. Set in a National Register historic district, the mansion, gardens and grounds host weddings, receptions and private events for up to 200 guests. Couples choose from outdoor ceremony sites in the Courtyard, at the Reflection Pond and on the Front Lawn, with receptions on the brick Grand Terrace and a covered woodland pavilion for rain plans. Every wedding includes a bridal suite and groom's quarters inside the mansion. Packages range from garden elopements for up to 20 guests, to estate weddings for up to 100, to full-weekend buyouts for 101–200. We also host rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, farewell brunches, garden parties, family reunions and corporate retreats. Three historic suites with private baths let the wedding party and family stay on the property.
