The Watson homestead was established in Hiram, Maine in 1785 and is the oldest house in Oxford County. Located on 28 acres of rolling fields, soaring pine forests, stone walls and 1250 ft of Saco River frontage the house has been lovingly restored with an eye to historical integrity. The barn restoration is the latest step in the evolution of Intervale Farm. Soaring ceilings and rustic hand hewn beams have been highlighted with new lighting, stained glass windows and ventilation. Step out the back to the privacy of the forest, wander the grassy field to the fire pit and birch altar or take the path to the rivers edge.
