The Arts Council & Smithgall Arts Center is a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable arts organization located in Gainesville, Georgia. Serving Northeast Georgia, The Smithgall Center hosts a beautiful Pavilion and lawn, small banquet hall and lovely atrium, perfect for weddings, parties, and small gatherings of up to 200 guests indoors, or 500 outdoors. Our fully equipped catering kitchen is open to your needs, and you may bring in a licensed caterer and serving staff of your choosing. The Arts Council, Inc. was originally founded in 1970, as the keeper and creator of the community’s arts calendar and newsletters. Today, it is one of Georgia’s leading arts organizations. It promotes over 30 regional arts affiliates, presents a broad spectrum of performing, visual, literary arts and film programs, and provides many other services that also support its mission.
