In 1931, the venue, then called Municipal Stadium, opened along the Davenport riverfront to a crowd of 3,000 people. It was then renamed John O’Donnell Stadium and later received $4.5 million in renovations in 1989. Since then, the stadium has received many accolades and updates, including its current name. The current Midwest League franchise has utilized Modern Woodmen Park since 1960, making this venue the oldest stadium used on a continuous basis by a current Minor League Baseball team for longer than 50 years.
