Skates on the Bay is a wonderful venue for a variety of special occasions, including birthday celebrations, wedding receptions, corporate gatherings, holiday parties, and other private events. Our unique setting provides stunning views for any function.
We offer several options for private events, including our private Bay Room, a semi-private Lounge, or a full restaurant buyout for larger gatherings. Each space provides a distinct ambiance with beautiful views of the Bay and San Francisco Skyline.
Our private events are booked based on food and beverage minimums, which vary depending on the date, time (lunch or dinner), and your chosen event space. For example, a lunch event in the Bay Room might have a minimum starting from $1,500++, while a dinner event in the Lounge could start at $8,000++. Specific minimums will be provided upon inquiry.
In addition to the food and beverage minimums, all events are subject to an 18% gratuity, a 4% banquet fee, and 10.25% sales tax.
A 50% deposit of the estimated food and beverage minimum is required to secure your reservation. The remaining 50% is due 5-7 days prior to your event date. Both deposits are applied to the final bill as a form of payment.
The final remaining balance is due at the end of the event when the check is presented.
The Bay Room can accommodate up to 72 guests for a seated event. Our Lounge provides space for up to 100 seated guests. A full restaurant buyout can accommodate even larger parties.
To ensure a pleasant dining experience for all our guests, we unfortunately do not allow DJs or live music within our private event spaces or the Main Dining Room. However, we do allow DJs and live music for full restaurant buyout events.
We offer a range of comprehensive menu options for private events, which can be provided upon request. Please note that special holiday menus may be updated seasonally.
