Located near the Cape Fear River in Historic Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina, The Annex at the Brooklyn Arts Center is a world-class wedding and event venue set in our gorgeous, 1910, two-story, brick schoolhouse that is connected to and directly behind the iconic BAC church. Upon opening in September 2016, The Annex immediately became one of the premiere intimate rental venues on the East Coast.
The first floor, originally home to classrooms that wrapped around an open, sunlit space with a small stage is among the most beautiful cocktail lounges in the region. The classrooms have been transformed into an elegant bridal suite, including salon, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The second floor, the auditorium, with its original, 15-foot, beaded tongue and groove, heart pine ceilings, classic stage, and 111-year-old stained glass windows is the ideal reception room and ceremony site. The Annex comfortably accommodates weddings of 30-120 guests.
Our reasonable rental fee includes the full use of The Annex with a 15-hour rental. We can't imagine why any bride and groom would want to rush through their wedding day. We encourage you to slow down and enjoy every minute.

All we ask is $150 minimum or $7 a person minimum, whichever is greater and space free. Downtown on Front St. 2400 sq. ft. plus more on deck with river view. Can host private parties or we can also cater with Hot Dogs & BBQ, french fries, shakes, chips, brownies, sodas, beer & wine. Have pool table, dart board and corn hole. Can also arrange live music and transportation. Kid Friendly, lots to do and see.

The Isles is the perfect setting for a beach side wedding with its gorgeous view of the sunset, white sandy beach, salty air, and audible rolling waves from the Atlantic Ocean. Our special events areas are secluded from the other dining sections of the restaurant and seat approximately 150 people (a facility buyout can accommodate over 350 people). The Isles also offers audio/visual equipment, including a projector mounted to the ceiling, wall size screen that slides down, DVD/VCR player, and wireless internet.
We provide your group with anything you may need for the perfect North Carolina beach wedding, including professionally attired and superbly trained foodservice staff dedicated specifically to your event and customizable beach wedding reception menus. Ironclad Brewery is a unique event space for weddings, receptions, corporate events, fundraisers, as well as retirement, birthday, and holiday parties. Events held at Ironclad Brewery are scheduled as either public or reserved events. A public event means the brewery remains open to customers. A reserved event is when either the 2nd floor or the entire brewery is closed to the public. A contract is required for reserved events.
The venue, bartenders, tables, chairs, glassware are all included!
Planning a great event takes a lot of time and effort, but it should not cost a lot of money! For reserved events there is a minimum bar tab required, as the brewery will be closed to the public during the event. Event bookings are done on a first come, first serve basis.
