McLoone’s Boathouse is located in the scenic South Mountain Reservation overlooking the Orange Reservoir accompanied by a serene landscape. This lodge-like restaurant boasts floor to ceiling windows and a grandiose fireplace in each of its dining rooms. A beautiful bar surrounded by wooden pillars and a fireplace sits in the heart of the restaurant. Each of its dining rooms has its own unique flair that adds character to any occasion. In summer months, the Boathouse hosts outdoor dining on the veranda facing the reservoir and on its outdoor patio accompanied with a built-in fire pit and bar. Had a great time at the BH bar last week. The meal was great. My wife and I had to wait for service as there was one bartender lady trying to attend to all of us, but when she go to us, she was very apologetic, pleasant, and promised a better experience next time. Our party for 40 celebrating our “eloped” children was lovely. The staff was attentive, the food abundant and delicious. Event manager was very helpful. Would recommend for an informal party.
