About Events Center West

“Events Center West” is conveniently located just off of I-235 & 22nd Street in West Des Moines, at 1701 - 25th Street. It is in the building where Billy Joe's Pitcher Show Theater was located for twenty-five years. Billy Joe’s Pitcher Show closed in 2009 and we spent a year completely renovating the facility. The tiered levels of the theater allow enriched visibility to the main floor/head table. The venue is approximately 7,000 sf. We provide a sound system and a state of the art digital projector for your use. The projector is a commercial “large venue” unit with 6000 lumen output and inputs for DVD, BluRay, laptop, wireless microphone, component, composite and s-video, as well as 1.3 HDMI. We have a 13’ high X 30’ wide permanent screen. A HDMI compatible laptop works best for ease of set-up.
