The Saturday Club, a delightfully quaint Tudor-style cottage modeled after William Shakespeare’s home in England, was built in 1898 for the activities of The Saturday Club, a women’s organization established in 1886. The Saturday Club is a 501(c)3, non-profit women’s volunteer and philanthropic organization located in the heart of the Philadelphia Main Line in downtown Wayne, Pennsylvania. The Club's mission is purely charitable – to improve the lives of women, children, and families in the greater Philadelphia region.
The historic English Tudor clubhouse is available to rent for special events, and makes an elegant venue for birthdays, showers, corporate events, or parties. Renovated to historic splendor, the beautiful and spacious ballroom features hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings with wooden beams and elegant cushioned window seating. The elevated, curtained stage with grand piano is suitable for bands, DJs, and performances.
The Saturday Club does not offer catering or drink packages. The Club also does not have any preferred caterers. You may select any caterer so long as they are insured. You can also prepare the food yourself or have it delivered. You may bring your own alcohol which must be served by an insured bartender. A friend, relative or guest can not be the bartender.
The Saturday Club's rates are the same regardless of the type of event or the time of year. Rentals are for a five hour event, though additional time for setup is available.
