Magic happens at ARTworks Vass. There is no other word for it. Our mission at ARTworks Vass is to Cultivate Creative Community, and we accomplish this by caring for the people we serve by providing them with opportunities to gather, connect, create, and collect original artwork. ARTworks Vass, at more than 5,000 square feet, contains a Gallery Showroom, our "Behind The Apothecary" meeting space for up to 8 guests, a Studio Classroom for up to 40 guests, a Paint Your Own Pottery and Make-and-Take Studio, a Pottery Studio Classroom for up to 12 guests, and a wheel throwing pottery studio with 7 pottery wheels and oodles of other equipment. Our kiln house is in an outbuilding just steps from our back door, as is our Hot Glass Blowing Studio. Plans for 2026 include adding a Lampworking Glass Studio, expanding our Stained Glass and Glass Fusing studios, and increasing the scope of our Pottery Membership Program. At ARTworks Vass, we sell the most amazing original artwork, and a significant portion of it is created locally. We also host public and private classes and events in almost any medium that you can imagine including painting, resin, collage, stained glass, fused glass, jewelry making, pottery making, pottery painting, glass blowing, fiber art, marketing, and more. We host a pottery membership program that allows members 24/7 access to our studio where they create at their convenience. And finally, we host spotlight events and retreats each year for visiting master artists, and guests travel from across the country to join us for these extended sessions. We're also privileged to work with nonprofit groups, military groups, private schools, homeschool groups, churches, and a variety of clubs in our community at their locations and at ours. • Onsite we regularly host group events for soldiers, spouses, and children with the Joint Special Operations Command's (JSOC's) Behavioral Health Unit of Fort Liberty, The Station Foundation, and various individual units. These events often include activities and creative endeavors that promote mindfulness and well-being. We regularly host events for the nonprofit, Project Point Five, and their Board of Directors and Staff to facilitate team building. These are just a few of the many groups that touch our hearts as we collaborate with them. These are our facts, but ARTworks Vass is so much more! It's a place where friendships and other connections are born and where guests begin to realize that they're capable of more than they imagined. We grieve with our customers when they experience losses, and we walk beside them as they move forward. We hold babies for new mothers while their husbands are on deployment, and we help them to realize that they're not alone, while simultaneously giving them even 5 minutes to be by themselves to grab a cup of coffee, phone a friend, or just sit quietly. We also have a gallery cat, Boo, who acts as an emotional support animal, and he provides this service generously for anyone who needs it. These are the things that matter to us most, surrounded by 180 Artists, volunteers, and staff who see the beauty of this mission and offer all of this and more to the guests who enter our doors.
