Terms and Conditions

- Behind the Day will provide all services included in your Planning Package, all outlined in Appendix A of the contract. - Planning will take place over the minimum hours outlined in your package. Any additional hours of service will be covered in final invoice. - Weddings occurring outside of the Ottawa area will be charged additionally for all transportation and accommodations, outlined in Appendix A of contract. - Planner will decide on hours of work with clients, according to chosen planning package and times outlined in Appendix A of contract. - A non-refundable deposit of 25% will be required within two weeks of the contract being signed. - The final invoice payment will be due 10 days prior to the wedding. Any additional fees incurred on wedding day will be due 30 days after. - The couple will not enter any agreement or hire any vendor/service supplier without communicating it to the planner or adding it to the spreadsheet. - The client will disclose all purchases and payments with the planner or in the spreadsheet in order to track budget accordingly. - Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the client, however costs incurred during the travel will not be covered. - Cancellation by the client with under 6 months left until wedding date, the 25% deposit will be withheld and fees for time spent planning over and above the 25% deposit will be required within 4 weeks of cancellation. - Cancellation by the client with under 3 months left until wedding date, 75% of package fees will be required within 4 weeks of cancellation. - Cancellation in case of emergencies by the planner will result in finding a suitable replacement agreed upon by client. The 25% deposit will be withheld and additional fees will be refunded. Outlined in Appendix B. - In the event that the wedding needs to be postponed, the planner will do their best to accommodate the new date. Terms outlined in Appendix B of contract. - The planner will prepare a workbook for the event and share it via email within 2 weeks of the contract being signed. The workbook will be kept in a shareable format for all parties to edit as needed.
