Our historic venue is designed for intimate to mid-sized gatherings and can comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests for seating. The venue does have the capacity of 200 guest for a come and go event.
We charge $150.00 per hour for the use of the venue, which includes event setup.
While we offer flexible hourly rentals, a minimum of four hours is required for bookings scheduled on major holidays and minimum of eight hours on Saturdays.
Yes, setup of tables and chairs is provided and included in your hourly rental rate.
Linens are not included in the standard rental rate but can be provided for your event at an additional cost.
We host a wide array of gatherings, including micro-weddings, graduation parties, milestone birthdays, anniversary celebrations, class reunions, holiday parties, and private family photoshoots.
We recommend booking as early as possible. Dates for popular summer months (June and July) and the December holiday season begin to fill up rapidly starting in September.
Yes, we have holiday availability for small ceremonies, photoshoots, and family gatherings, subject to a four-hour booking minimum.
Yes! We have happily hosted many Washburn University graduation parties, milestone anniversary events, and class reunions, offering a warm and memorable historic setting for up to 100 guests.

My husband and I booked the Governor’s Row House for our wedding and we were not disappointed! The owners had wonderful energy and were so helpful and easily available (via phone, email, or in person) in order to coordinate our event! (They were also very patient with a couple undecided lovebirds.) They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, which included ideas for the best table arrangement, giving advice on our DIY linens, and even opening the ballroom doors for me to make the grand entrance down the aisle. The ceremony setup was breathtaking and the reception setup was no different. They switched the ballroom from the ceremony to reception (we had around 100 guests) while we took formal pictures outside and guests enjoyed cocktail hour inside in the spacious sitting areas and bar area. There was ample parking and the natural light inside the ballroom was great! The ladies were able to get ready upstairs and the fellas enjoyed getting ready and being guys in one of the rooms on the main floor. I am so happy that we booked our wedding at this venue and would do it all again at the Governor’s Row House!
