Even as a young boy, Keith Gehle knew he wanted to be a professional musician. Today he enjoys a busy career as a concert guitarist, recording artist, composer/arranger, and teacher. Keith began his performing career during college with a simple philosophy: advance the art of guitar performance through diverse music appealing to a wide audience. His many musical experiences (from rock, classical, folk and New Age styles) have produced an artist with a perspective and style that is unique in the community of solo/fingerstyle guitar. His numerous performances have delighted audiences at universities, music festivals and community concerts throughout the Southeast. Keith was recognized for his outstanding musicianship by the Georgia Council for the Arts by serving on their prestigious Touring Roster for many years. His commercially available recording credits include Guitarist, Wintersong, Nocturne, Songs of December, Space and Time as well as numerous singles released on streaming services in recent years. His widely acclaimed Space and Time album which spent five months in the top 40 of the Zone Music Reporter (New Age) charts in the spring and summer of 2017, including two consecutive months in the top 20.   Keith has performed a number of television and radio appearances in support of his work and has had live concerts aired on Public Radio stations in several states. A number of his original works and arrangements for solo guitar have been published by Willis Music, Hal Leonard and Mel Bay Publications as well as close to 200 works through ArrangeMe.com. In 2012, Keith wrote the musical score for David Field’s multi award winning short film Caterpillar and May of 2017 saw the release of a new music folio (Music of the Americas) by Mel Bay Publications featuring three of his original compositions. A classically trained musician, Keith earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Guitar Performance from The University of Georgia under the guidance of the late John Sutherland, a protégé of Andres Segovia. Keith’s extensive training with master guitarists has helped him become a sought after teacher. He served for many years as adjunct professor of applied guitar and music technology for Toccoa Falls College in Northeast Georgia where he received the Faculty Member of the Year award in 2019 and currently teaches with Suwanee Academy of the Arts in metro Atlanta.
