Cana Barn is a new event venue located in Staunton, VA. The heart of our venue is a bank barn from Staunton, VA that is, on the young side, 90 years old. With the help of our friends from Carolina Timberworks, we salvaged about 85% of this barn. Rather than ripping it down and merely using the wood, we labeled every beam of the original barn and reassembled them on a new piece of property in the exact same order. In other words, the "new" Cana Barn is the exact blueprint of the original barn. Think "Lincoln logs" on a lifesize scale. Rebuilding the barn has enabled us to create a space that is both classic and modern, both old and new. We like to say that we have the best of both worlds: the authenticity of a barn combined with modern amenities like restrooms, a catering kitchen, wedding suites, audio/visual equipment, and heating. The barn is also ADA accessible so that all persons can enjoy their visit. The exterior of our barn is slate blue, while the interior reveals the beauty of the original barn's chestnut wood. It is our vision to create a space where all are welcome to celebrate life. This includes you! We are now scheduling events for fall of 2018.
