Dream Come True Wedding Venue — An Eventective User from Philadelphia, MS

My husband and I had an idea of what we wanted our wedding venue to look like. I found The Poor House on a long list looking for venues. I showed my husband the pictures I found on their social media and we messaged to come view the place that evening. I knew when we drove up that's where I was going to get married. It's like the vision of our wedding fell out of thin air in front of us. Everything about the venue was perfect. Mr. Michael was the absolute best host and tour guide. We knew everything we needed to know before we left that day about the venue. Mr. Michael and Mrs. Mindy were always available to answer questions and support us for our big day. My husband and I can truly say that our wedding was absolutely everything we wanted and we couldn't imagine having been married anywhere else. 10 out of 10 for The Poor House and everything it encompasses.

The BEST Place for a Retreat! — An Eventective User from Starkville, MS

I booked The Poor House for my sorority's New Member Retreat, and it was a great experience from start to finish! Mr. Michael went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed from the stereo to the restrooms to the tables and chairs. The property is so beautiful, and we had more than enough space to have fun team-bonding activities for 90+ girls. The Poor House is spotless, the lights are gorgeous, and the venue truly offers everything you could possibly need while there! Not to mention, the pricing is great. Mr. Michael and Mrs. Mindy are so kind and personable. Highly recommend The Poor House to all! 10/10!

Beautiful wedding venue — An Eventective User from Starkville, Ms

My husband and I found the poorhouse by word of mouth. We made our decision before we even stepped out of the car. We met Mike and the rest was history! We were married here in 2015. We had a blast with the weekend stay and enjoyed the privacy and scenery. The hospitality was second to none and the suites are gorgeous. I love following this business success! Perfect for a Fairytale Wedding — An Eventective User from Starkville, MS

We booked The Poor House for our wedding weekend. Michael was so helpful in showing us the property, how to operate the lights and stereo, and made sure we had everything we needed to celebrate our weekend. We never felt unsupported or lost. Speaking of the property, I 10/10 recommend this place for any event. It is breathtaking- especially during the golden hour when every tree and blade of grass has an ethereal glow. Our pictures were absolutely magical, and our first look felt like a fairytale. We also really enjoyed our stay in the attached cabins- they’re gorgeous, comfortable, incredibly clean, and super helpful in getting ready for the big day. If you’re looking for a stunning venue with all kinds of amenities, sweet and supportive owners, and an unforgettable weekend, I highly recommend calling The Poor House. Perfect wedding venue — An Eventective User from Starkville, MS

My daughter wanted an outside wedding in April. We found the Poor House online. I contacted Michael, the owner, he was most helpful and very professional in all aspects of making this happen. Price was very reasonable. He and his family made the place very beautiful and helped us find other vendors to help make the Bride and Groom's day "A day to remember!". Heard several people talking during the reception about how awesome the place was. I would and have highly recommended the place to family and friends with an outside event. to book The Poor House.
