Absolutely. Your preferences are the starting point. I want to know what you love, what you don't want to hear, and any songs that are especially important to the event. From there, I use my experience and what I'm seeing from the crowd to guide the music throughout the event.
Yes. I handle the announcements and transitions needed to keep the event moving, but I'm not an overly talkative or attention-seeking MC. My approach is polished and purposeful - the event and your guests should remain the focus.
There isn't a standard playlist I use for every event. We discuss your musical preferences beforehand, but I also pay attention to how guests are responding throughout the event. Good DJing is a combination of preparation, timing, musical judgment, and being willing to adjust when the room tells you something different.
