I was married by a non-denominational minister over 12 years ago, and I still remember how difficult it was for us to find someone to officiate our ceremony. My then fiance was raised Catholic and I was raised non-denominational. We did not want to go through the requirements to have our wedding in the Catholic Church, but we still wanted someone of Christian faith to perform our ceremony. It was not easy to find someone to fit that bill. I have also know many others who have had the same difficulty. I have always enjoyed weddings and I could not think of a better job than being a non-denomination wedding officiant. It is my way of doing something to help others. I meet with my clients either in person or via phone conference as many times as needed to put together a wedding script that is personalized to each couple. I also am available for the rehearsal to have the wedding party run through a mock ceremony until everyone feels comfortable and it helps ease a lot of the pressure.
