About Bay Area Museum

The Bay Area Museum is a community treasure with historic distinctions. The artifacts are the building and grounds. Operated by Precinct2gether, Inc., a public charity, all income from rental fees is dedicated to the public parks in Harris County Precinct 2. If you dream of unique, historic charm for your wedding or special event, the Bay Area Museum is perfect. We are delighted you are interested in our charming venue: a beautiful 1901 chapel and reception hall. Charming for weddings, the chapel is washed in white, including the original vaulted wood ceiling, allowing your color scheme to pop. Stained glass windows provide the backdrop of the altar and are particularly striking at sunset. The reception hall, paneled in warm pine boards, accommodates nearly 100 guests for seated luncheons or dinners. A small stage provides a focial point for speakers or musicians, and the room accommodates almost 200 audience-style.
