Goronson Farm is a small, MOFGA-certified working family farm in Scarborough, Maine. We provide a location for a country wedding ceremony, welcoming couples, and their guests. Guests are sure to be impressed by the bountiful nature that surrounds the farm and its charming chickens & ducks who spend their whole lives living here. (We are a no-kill.) Our site allows guests to immerse themselves in nature and ditch the hustle of everyday city life. Yet, we are located just 15 minutes from downtown Portland and white sand ocean beaches.
Our farm provides the opportunity to host an affordable, small-wedding ceremony & reception event in a peaceful, spiritual setting. What truly sets Goronson Farm apart is that we are a working, MOFGA-certified organic farm, not a commercial barn venue pretending to be one. When you book with us, you are securing an authentic, immersive experience - from the rare-breed chickens and ducks that call our grounds home, to the fresh, seasonal flowers harvested directly from our gardens for your tables. Because I provide on-site coordination and handle your floral design personally, we offer a level of seamless, boutique care that allows you to focus entirely on your wedding day while we manage the living, breathing details of the farm.
Here couples can gather their closest friends and family to be married in the Ceremonial Mirrored Baltic Labyrinth or on one of the lawns, surrounded by fruit trees, tiny vineyards, flower gardens, chickens, ducks, and friendly staff members. Located just 15 minutes from downtown Portland, and 1 hour 45 minutes from Boston, our farm is easily accessed and a convenient choice to hold your small daytime wedding ceremony, après wedding cocktail reception, dinner, and wedding photoshoot.
Floral arrangements made from the surrounding gardens are provided for your tables. You can ask your caterer to provide farm-to-table small bites prepared with our local organic produce & fruit or with our free-range, pastured chicken & duck eggs. One-of-a-kind floral designs provided by the owner.
Base fee includes tables, floral arrangements, our Team's Day of Event Coordinator, a 20 X 20' tent, a smaller 10' X 10' food tent, an outdoor private stall toilet, a stone terrace for seating, or as a photo booth. Goronson Farm has almost 6 acres of farmland with 2 small vineyards offering lots of room for a ceremony, cocktail party, and many photo opportunities. The farm is a versatile venue perfect for intimate gatherings, including wedding ceremonies, engagement parties, bridal brunches, baby showers, and other private celebrations.
For weekend events (Friday through Sunday), pricing is $3,000 for up to 50 guests, or $1,500 for intimate gatherings of up to 30 guests.
Yes, we offer off-peak pricing for events held Monday through Thursday. The rate is $2,000 for up to 50 guests, or $1,500 for up to 30 guests.
Your booking includes a meal tent, a separate small food tent, our farm tables and benches/chairs, small florals for the tables, neutral table runners, and flicker flame candles. Guests also have access to restrooms, a stone fire pit, lawn game areas, and our Mirrored Baltic Labyrinth. To make your day special, guests can also meet our rare-breed, free-range chickens and ducks, with beautiful photo opportunities in our vineyard and flower gardens.
Yes! Your rental includes a Day of Event Coordinator who will assist with setting up your decorations, parking cars, and refrigerating any delivered food.
You are welcome to provide your own food for your event. We also always provide complimentary coffee and a variety of hot or iced teas. For events serving alcohol, it must be provided and served by a licensed, insured bartender.
Absolutely. We require hosting an in-person tour of the farm before signing a contract to ensure the layout meets your needs. If a key host or partner is unable to travel, we are happy to accommodate them joining your in-person tour via FaceTime.
To secure a date, we require a signed contract and a deposit. Please note that we do not hold dates without these completed steps. maureengo2@yahoo.com.
Once you have toured the farm, we can send you the contract electronically for you to sign and email back. We accept deposit payments via Venmo and will email you a receipt immediately upon payment.
