About Aquarium of the Bay

The Aquarium of the Bay is San Francisco's iconic waterfront aquarium. We are located next to world famous Pier 39. We have over 24,000 animals that call our aquarium home. From our interactive touch pools, to our adorable river otters, and glass acrylic tunnels with different animals swimming all around you it is a unique venue to host any type of event you are looking for. Just outside we have a panoramic terrace with views overlooking the Bay Bridge and the San Francisco skyline.

Atmosphere/Decor: This room has a wooden gazebo in the center of the room that makes a great place for catering and bar area.
Special Features: Around the room we have two different touch pools staffed by our very knowledgeable educators. One of our touch pools has our juvenile bat rays while our other has sea stars, sea cucumbers, and more.

Special Features: Walk through two glass acrylic tunnels. In our Sharks of Alcatraz tunnel you can see sturgeons, leopard sharks, tope fin sharks, and seven-gill sharks. In our nearshore tunnel we have a kelp forest, wolf eels, and our giant sea bass among many others.
