Hemingbough is perfect for weddings. It boasts 57 acres of gardens surrounded by a 47-acre lake situated on 230 acres just one mile south of historic St. Francisville, La. An eight-room, two suite Guest House is also available for rental by the wedding party or guests.
Hemingbough is a year-round center for spiritual awareness and awakening, a center for the arts, education, religion, seminars, symphony, opera, popular entertainment, corporate events, theater, prominent lecturers, authors and cinematographers.
This spacious and intriguing grounds contain statuary, fountains, Greek revival architecture, and a Greek amphitheater overlooking Audubon Lake. When weather conditions make outdoor activities impossible, the events are moved into the spacious Hemstead Hall, capable of seating hundreds at banquets. The adjoining Audubon Room works well for smaller, more intimate corporate and family gatherings.
As you wander the grounds and listen to the calls of the many peacocks and wild birds on the property, it is impossible not to feel closer to nature and enjoy a sense of peace.
