They are amazing at communication, reading the room and stepping in to even Emcee when needed. They come with all the best of the best for equipment and are prepared so your event goes without a hitch! I'd absolutely recommend them for any event!

We were recently married at Revelstoke Mountain Resort with a ceremony at the top of two gondolas and mid mountain reception. We put our full trust in Steve & Al and WOW did they deliver. They handled all of the set up and take down of full audio equipment, timing of the ceremony songs, as well as helped organize and set up our first dances to occur outside on the balcony at dusk. With us being from out of town, I can’t express how valuable their knowledge and comfort level with this venue was! The audio was perfect throughout the entire event. They even had free-standing mic’s for the ceremony so Brett and I were unobstructed by passing a mic back and forth.
I remember thinking live music for a wedding can be risky with a band you don’t know, but I was absolutely blown away with how good they were. I promise these guys will have your guests dancing, signing, and having a great time all night long! They are an incredibly talented 2man band that can play a wide range of genres from rock n roll, to country, to soft and classy background rhythms for your dinner and cocktails. They know how to read a crowd and played non stop hits from 2:00pm onward. We had guests ranging from ages 20 to 82 on the dance floor all at once. We received endless comments from guests on how great the band was.
One of the highlights of our night: We were outside getting bride and groom photos taken before the reception began and all of a sudden I tuned in and could hear one of my favourite Tom Petty songs in the distance. I was beaming with excitement to go inside and visit with all our guests and pointed it out to Brett. As we glanced up through the window at our reception venue I could see that this song was being played live and they were absolutely nailing it!! It was an immediate confirmation that they were going to play a huge role in this night being everything I could have hoped for and more.

Turnkey sound and music support for memorable wedding at Revelstoke Mountain Resort

We hired the Rev to cover all of our audio needs, play as a band during cocktail hour, and provide DJ support for the dance party at our 150-person wedding that took place at the Mackenzie Outpost and Revelation Lodge at RMR. The overall experience working with these guys was fantastic. Not only are they extremely talented, they are excellent at improvising and tailoring their audio and musical support on the day. They also know the venue inside and out and will work with you to get what you want while also providing their expert advice.
Leading up to the wedding, Al and Steve gave us advice on how to choose our songs, and which cool moments to make sure were covered at our wedding. The ceremony outdoors at the Mackenzie Outpost went off without a hitch, with beautiful smooth transitions between songs. The mic setup was fluid and unnoticeable from the crowd but allowed everyone to hear us clearly.
For the reception at Revelation Lodge, Al & Steve played during cocktail hour which everyone raved about. During the program we had a couple of improvised and unplanned moments where they were able to quickly work with us and keep everything running smoothly. For the rest of the night we had a beautiful dance party out on the balcony with a combination of live music and DJ-ing our song requests. Al and Steve kept the energy up all evening, paying attention to the subtle breaks and changes in the crowd as the night went on. We had a blast.
Almost all of our guests commented on the wonderful band, and I feel our wedding wouldn't have been nearly the same without them. We are so happy the Rev are part of our memories at RMR and I would strongly recommend them for any event, especially weddings at RMR, and especially we advise you had better include the live music! -Grace & Tyler

We had Steve and Al at our wedding over the weekend and they were AMAZING! Super talented! They made sure everyone could hear us during our ceremony and played our song selections at the perfect time. They played live music for our cocktail hour, dinner and into the evening before they switched to DJ’ing. They totally set the vibes for our reception and we couldn’t be happier that we booked them!!! Worth every penny!

Loni and Larry Parker hosted a birthday celebration for friends family and classmates at their acreage outside of Revelstoke. The Rev was contacted to play and provided TOP NOTCH Entertainment for hours! Incredible repertoire! I didn't hear the same tune played twice! Amazing band. They covered almost all genre's! From Mustang Sally to The Doors to Big and Rich, and did all of them really well! Excellent musicians, singers, and entertainers. Very accommodating to the crowd. Can't pay these guys enough for the fun they bring to the party. Thank you Al & Steve. ????

We hired The Rev for our August 2018 wedding in Revelstoke and what a great decision that was! Honestly, everything about their work was perfect.
I originally contacted Al for DJ services but after chatting with him about the live music option, we opted for both. Al and Steve were amazing. We had a packed dance floor until the very end of the night. I can’t count how many of our guests commented on how wonderful the music was. The live music really made the night special. The Rev also did a flawless job with the ceremony. It was so nice to be able to show up right before the ceremony and everything was ready. Steve helped give us cues as to when to start walking down the aisle and they have a great hands-free microphone so we could say our vows without having to awkwardly pass a microphone back and forth. We really can’t say enough great things about The Rev! 100% recommend them.

THESE GUYS ROCK!
I was at a wedding last weekend and these two killed it. Their music selection was perfectly suited to the mood and setting, and sounded great. They are very talented musicians.
Later on as DJs they played requests and kept the dance floor going all night. They even gave me some AA batteries when my camera flash died.
10/10 would recommend them for any event!

Where do I even start...
We got married at RMR in revelstoke in September, and these guys absolutely blew it out of the water. When I was looking for music services, I didnt think I wanted live music, but I am extremely thankful that Al talked me into it, because at this point I couldnt picture our reception any other way. The live music set they did through the latter part of dinner was pulled off expertly, working on the fly with our first time MC and making it look easy. Even before dinner was over, people started moving over to the dancefloor; they were that good. After a few encores as demanded by the crowd, the transitioned into a fantastic DJ set that kept everyone there till the end.
We also had them provide music and equipment for our ceremony, perfect setup well ahead of time, and they had a microphone on a stand that picked up our voices clearly without having to be passed around.
Couldnt recommend more!

We booked Al and Steve to perform and DJ at our outdoor wedding in June. They made the planning process so smooth by quickly responding to all our questions and accommodating every request. Hiring The Rev turned out to be one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
Leading up to the day, Al was extremely helpful in coordinating logistics and offering both venue-specific and general advice.
On the day itself, Steve and Al flawlessly took care of sound for the ceremony, entertained our guests leading up to and during dinner, and then rocked the dance floor late into the night. They read the crowd like pros and played a variety of music that had all generations up and dancing.

Al and Steve were absolutely amazing! I had originally contacted Al about a DJ service for our upcoming wedding. He was quick to respond and told me everything I needed to know about his services and I was instantly sold on who was going to DJ our wedding. He also brought up the possibility of Live music with Steve. I was skeptical at first as I had never heard them perform but Al's confidence in how he could play to the crowd and bring up the mood of the party told my gut that I needed to go with the live music portion as well. Al couldn't have been more right, Him and Steve made this party that much more special for us. My friends and relatives could not stop raving the next day about how great these guys were. Every song that was played was perfect and they knew how to cater to the crowd. I would highly recommend Al and Steve to my friends, family and anybody that is looking to have a wedding or any type of event that requires a DJ. Rev Entertainment came recommended to us from multiple people and boy did they live up to the hype. Steve (our DJ) was super professional and provided great audio/visual support for the ceremony, reception, and for multiple videos played throughout the evening. We provided a songlist to outline the 'vibe' of the what we were looking for and they nailed it. The whole team was very professional and courteous both in person and over email/phone. I e-mailed back and forth with Al for at least a year before the wedding and he was more then accommodating, he always offered valid, honest, and awesome ideas. We had a lot of family who wanted to sing and play guitar at the wedding and Al & Steve were extremely willing to let them play and they joined in with them as well. We are very happy with our choice to hire The Rev, and I would most definitely hire them again! I would recommend the Rev to anyone, they truly made our day more special with their live performance, and Al's DJ skills kept the crowd dancing all night long!

We could not have had a more positive experience with Al and Steve! They were a pleasure to deal with when it came to sorting out logistics, and that was just the start. We were torn as to whether we should hire live musicians or a D.J., as both have uniquely positive qualities when it comes to wedding entertainment. To say that Al and Steve successfully brought together the best of both worlds is an understatement. As live musicians their sound is much more full and rounded than one would expect from two players. Their personalities and stage presence were a compliment to the on-point vocals and remarkable musicianship. We ended up delaying our first dances by quite a while because they needed to set up the D.J. equipment and we dreaded having to ask them to stop playing, they were that good! Throughout their live music and D.J. sets, there's an uncanny ability on their part to read the crowd and set exactly the right mood all evening. Thank you so much, Al and Steve, for providing us with an amazing wedding entertainment experience!

Al & Steve not only entertain and involve the audience/crowd, they understand the dynamic. Like any event, their is a finesse to how the order of things go. Both Gents understood mood lighting, ambient background, slower melodies, and hot songs and knew when and where they were appropriate, which can be crucial! Alan & Steve were at the Ceremony & Reception before everyone else setting up, and ready to go. When we walked into the reception, they were already executing their game plan and it was well thought out and exactly what we needed! We thought we would use canned music, that would have been a huge mistake and a disappointment to our guests. They kept it "alive"!! I can't express how thrilled my wife & I were with The Rev and Although I don't plan to have another wedding, I would certainly hire them for any other event I may put on. Highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed and they will make your event or big day that much more magical!

When we were unsuccessful in finding a local DJ for our wedding at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort this past August, we contacted Al from the Rev. Al was an absolute a pleasure to work with. After an initial consult over the phone, Al let us know he would be up for the challenge of DJ'ing his first Kicking Horse wedding. We had frequent contact with Al over the months leading up to the wedding, and he kept us on track ensuring we had picked all of our ceremony/first dance songs.
