About Historical Society of Princeton

Updike Farmstead, headquarters of the Historical Society of Princeton, is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of preserved farmland in the Princeton Battlefield/Stony Brook Settlement Historic District. Our six-acres include a restored late 18th-century farmhouse and a large barn, built in 1892, which completed renovations in June of 2017, adding 4 unisex bathrooms, a small kitchen, lighting and wi-fi. It offers an unparalleled setting for celebrations, including birthday parties, graduations, anniversaries, weddings, bridal and baby showers, as well as corporate and non-profit meetings and workshops. Since our barn does not have air conditioning or heating, we primarily host events during the months of May, June, September and October. Our barn is ideal for parties of 150 or fewer, but with additional tenting we can accommodate up to 200 guests.
