Beauty in the Bradshaw Mountains, An Eventective User from Prescott, AZ

My husband and I just recently moved to Arizona. We moved here just after we got engaged and decided to have the wedding here instead of travel home. Prescott, Arizona is a naturally beautiful place. The bowl shaped valley is home to a pristine city that has an old world, pioneer feel with all the conveniences of modern life. The Prescott Resort can be seen on top of its hill from almost anywhere in Prescott. It has the city's best views, except for atop Thumb Butte, which can be seen from the west side of the resort. My wedding was on April 10, 2011 at the Prescott Resort. The banquet hall is beautiful with high ceilings and endless windows. The resort offers Arizona Wedding Packages. I paid just about three thousand for my package and received an outdoor ceremony at the resort's casino, a deliciously catered reception dinner, cocktail hour, and the banquet hall was transformed into a dance club for all my guests. My husband an I had an amazing room with champagne, chocolate, and they even had a kit of massage oils! There were rooms reserved for my guests, so we all felt as if we were getting special treatment. The day after the wedding, everyone went swimming in the resort's indoor pool area. We had lunch at the restaurant and then took the complimentary bus to downtown Prescott to do some touring. The resort also offers transportation to and from the airport in Phoenix, so we didn't even have to worry about that. This is a wonderful place in Northern Arizona for a wedding.

The Orme School campus occupies half a square mile near the geographic center of Arizona. It has tall trees, green lawns, flowery gardens, and uncluttered vistas of distant mesas and mountains. Our elevation of 4,000 feet above sea level makes for an ideal climate without the intense heat of the lowland deserts of southern Arizona during the summer months. Here, we are able to combine the best of both indoor and outdoor recreation. With a variety of amenities to choose from, your group has a plethora of opportunities to personalize your experience. Our campus is full of meeting spaces that are sure to fit your event, meeting, and presentation needs, including our chapel, Horsecollar Theater, and various-sized classrooms. We are able to accommodate over 150 guests in our authentic cabin dormitory environment. Adventure awaits right outside your dorm room; our facility features football and baseball fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and hundreds of square miles to walk, mountain bike or horseback ride in any direction. Hungry? Our culinary staff in our Founders Dining Hall operates with the farm-to-table approach, serving fresh food daily. On top of our amenities, you are guaranteed to enjoy the natural beauty of our high-desert setting. In addition to our base facilities, there are many activities that your group can take advantage of, for additional fees. Art and horseback riding are parts of a true southwestern experience, both ancient and modern, so we offer art classes and trail rides to supplement your stay. We also offer a range of team-building and adventure activities including: archery, canoeing, fishing, orienteering, nature hikes, astronomy, paintball, and outdoor living skills. Not on the list? Let us know what your group has in mind, and we will help execute your idea.
