This venue is for people who love the rustic feel of a ship and have a vision! The Gazela Primeiro, is a 1901 historic tall ship and boutique event venue, dockside at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia. We invite you to bring your special event aboard our sweeping decks with stunning views of the Delaware River. We are located near the Independence Seaport Museum, so check us out anytime. In the winter, the ship has a cover for when we do repairs so it may look a little different. In the warmer months, the masts tower over our decks in the open air. We run our events season typically from May to late October but out calendar fills up pretty fast. Our beloved ship is best used for: engagement parties welcome parties rehearsal dinners micro-weddings private dinners retirement parties corporate gatherings performances art galleries wedding showers farewell brunches, couples luncheons baraat, cocktail hour, after parties, elopements, and other intimate events. We are a raw space. The venue will provide just the space. You’ll bring in your own caterers, music, alcohol and vendors. We do have a preferred vendor list to help guide you, and can have our Captain officiate! We have liability insurance, but if you have a wedding planner, they must also carry insurance. We are a fully outdoor venue. It's best to have a flexible attitude and plan at an outdoor venue! Full wedding (ceremony and reception) or private event pricing.
