Highland Oaks Weddings and Events (formerly Moonlit Farms) is a 36-acre wedding and event venue in Palmyra, Indiana, just 25 minutes from downtown Louisville, Kentucky. We sit in Harrison County in the heart of Southern Indiana, an easy drive from New Albany, Jeffersonville, Clarksville, Corydon, Floyds Knobs, Georgetown, Lanesville, Salem and the wider Louisville metro. Hotels in Corydon and New Albany are 15 to 25 minutes away, and Indianapolis is about 90 minutes north.
THE PROPERTY
Couples marry outdoors in a wooded ceremony grove hung with cafe lights, with Southern Indiana woods and rolling hills behind them. Receptions move to a white barn with covered space and an adjoining covered pavilion, seating up to 300 guests. The grounds also include private getting-ready suites for both sides of the aisle, a caterer prep area, and roughly 150 on-site parking spaces. An on-site cottage is available for the night before or the night after, so your wedding party can stay on the property.
WHAT EVERY RENTAL INCLUDES
A full 12-hour day plus a one-hour rehearsal, with tables and chairs set up and broken down for you. Open catering means you are free to bring any licensed caterer you like. All bar service is poured by our in-house team and can be run as a cash bar, an open bar, or a custom bar tab; outside alcohol is not permitted. Bar service runs until 11:00 pm.

Weddings are the heart of what we do: barn weddings, rustic and farmhouse weddings, outdoor and forest ceremonies, fall and spring weddings, micro weddings and elopements, rehearsal dinners, receptions and vow renewals. The property also hosts corporate retreats and meetings, holiday parties, family reunions, bridal and baby showers, engagement parties, graduation parties, birthdays and anniversary celebrations.

Tours run about 45 minutes and are by appointment. Office hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Sunday, 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
