Magical & Dreamy ~ old world southern charming inn ready for your big day. We fell in love the moment we walked through the front door. The grounds are a perfect backdrop to your vision ~ we created a whimsical, elegant space in the one courtyard for our ceremony. We had cocktails outside the reception space where guests could meander and enjoy the grounds and each other. Camellia room hosted 75 of our guests comfortably as they celebrated us and danced the evening away. Mary & John are incredibly gracious hosts who welcomed all family & friends who chose to stay at the Inn. Mary was a wealth of planning information with vendor recommendations and was onsite the day of to coordinate all with our team. We highly recommend Lookaway for all your wedding venue dreams.
Wedding Rehearsal Dinner in the Camellia Room!

We hosted the Rehearsal Dinner here 2 months ago as my son married an Augusta gal, Kaitlyn Frits. Our 75 guests, which included many of my Northern relatives, were delighted by the elegant & pleasing atmosphere inside & out. The rainfall for the day did not allow us to use the side courtyard as much as we had planned. We had ample room inside the Camellia Room for our catered food buffet tables as well as a cake and 2 beverage tables. Beth & Mike Frits & their friends did a superior job decorating the tables to heighten the splendor of the event!
My son, the groom, stayed at the Lookaway Inn for his 2 days before the wedding while I stayed 4 nights. WE thank Mary and John @ Lookaway for helping us throw a great Rehearsal Dinner, and also have a wonderful, memorable, inspiring stay with breakfast in the great dining room at this historic inn!
