Smuggler’s story dates back to the early 20th century, when it first opened its doors as a local tavern. The name “Smuggler’s” pays homage to the area’s colorful past, rooted in the bootlegging days of Prohibition. In 2009, Smuggler’s faced a devastating fire that severely damaged the building—but thanks to the incredible support of our community and the determination of our team, we rebuilt stronger than ever. When we reopened, we made sure to preserve the charm and spirit that made us special from the start. Today, we remain a cherished gathering place for locals and visitors alike, serving up great food, cold drinks, and a laid-back, lakeside vibe you won’t find anywhere else.
