The Chateau Saint Denis Hotel derives its name from the French explorer, Louis Juchereau de St. Denis, who in 1714 established Natchitoches making it the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. The charming city’s extensive 18th and early 19th century structures created the French Creole concept which is the influence for both the exterior as well as the interior of the property.
