My husband and I found Benjy through internet search. We live in Virginia and visit SC often during the summer and knew we wanted to get married there. Benjy was heaven sent to us. He made everything SO easy from the first conversation we had until we said I Do. He assisted with planning, coordinating and even sending out signed wedding licenses at the end so we didn’t have to worry about it. When our venue got changed last minute (literally the day before our wedding due to weather) Benjy spoke with the DJ, coordinated with our other planner and didn’t even blink with the transition to new space. He even was willing to help us find a new venue to use. We had multiple family members come up to us after the wedding saying how wonderful he was, how eloquently he spoke and how perfect his choice of words was. We felt so comfortable with him during a time that is extremely nerve wracking standing in front of a bunch of people staring at you. One day, my husband and I will renew our vows and we will go right back to Benjy. Even though we didn’t get to utilize his full services provided including getting sand on the beach prepped and having him set up/take down chairs on the beach strictly due to weather, I have no doubt that everything still would have gone smooth. We put full trust in Benjy! Above all else, he is a really genuine and great person, which assisted with the process being so smooth. We recommend Benjy 1,000x over!!

Planning a wedding is overwhelming but planning one out of state really made us nervous! We honestly did not know where to start. We knew that we wanted a small ceremony on the beach but nothing big or expensive. We started searching for wedding planners on the internet and received many quotes that were way out of our price range and those quotes did not include photography, seating, alter, nothing but the reverend. We clicked on Simple Wedding Day page and read reviews that sounded perfect! When we called Benji he took the time to listen to what we had in mind (as opposed to other wedding planners just telling us what they would do). He had vows, alter, decorations, chairs, sand ceremony, photographers we could choose from, everything! Knowing that we only would have to worry about one person to check in on everything for our wedding was amazing. Not to mention he did everything himself. He called us a few times before the wedding to double check everything. We had changes everytime he called and not once was he annoyed. He arrived about an hour before the ceremony raked the beach so it was level for the seating, set up the chairs, alter, and sand ceremony table. He met everyone that we had at our wedding and was incredibly nice. Benji and our photographer Randall worked so well together and were hilarious! Benji even took some photographs himself which were beautiful. The price was less than half of what other people were going to charge us, but most importantly Benji handled everything for our wedding giving us piece of mind. I cannot express how wonderful our wedding was. We highly recommend Simple Wedding Day.

Rev. Simmons was so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. I called and emailed him multiple times, and he always responded promptly. He is extremely nice, along with his wife Renee. The weather was not cooperating with us on the day of our wedding, but he came prepared to have a wedding either outside on the beach or inside the resort in the back up room. He arrived early and had everything set up in plenty of time before the wedding started, even though we had to start an hour early due to the weather. By emailing and calling me to even filling our marriage licence for us, it was everything we needed an more! As my wife and were planning our Myrtle Beach wedding from Pittsburgh, all of the major pieces (location, photographer, DJ) were falling in place except for one...the officiant. It was very important to us that we were comfortable with the person that was going to marry us. We spoke to a couple of people, but just weren't getting that feeling. Lucky for us, our photographer suggested we speak to Benjy. On one of our planning trips down to MB, we were able to meet with him and were made to feel at ease from the start. As we got closer to the ceremony date, he was easy to contact through email to answer any questions we had. The weather on our wedding day was questionable for our beach ceremony and I think he followed the hourly forecast closer than my wife. With impending rain, we chose to move our ceremony up two hours to beat it that afternoon. Benjy was so accommodating as it was no problem for him to arrive early as well. In the end, he delivered the ceremony just how we had hoped.
As a sidenote, we went through Georgetown County to get our marriage license per his recommendation to save $60 over Horry County. When we picked it up, the woman there asked who was doing our ceremony. We told her Benjy, and she just handed over the papers. We asked why she asked that, and she told us that with Benjy, she knows everything will be filed with no problems after the ceremony. It was nice knowing we wouldn't have to worry about that at all.

Want to Thank Rev. Simmons and his wife for a very wonderful and special 10 Year Vow Renewal at Myrtle Beach State Park. June 29th, 2012. It was a surprise for my wife as she thought I would not ever renew our vows. She suspected she was going to the State Park for a photo shoot and Rev. My husband (William) and I were planning to get married at a courthouse. We are both in the military so all of our friends and family are scattered around the world, its hard and very expensive to bring everyone together. About a month out, I decided to suprise William with a beach wedding instead (it has been on his bucket list since high school). I found Rev Simmons on google search with great reviews. He was wonderful, we planned the last minute wedding over e-mail and the phone. There was even a problem with the date that I had origionally chosen (Williams work schedule clashed with it), it was less than a week out, and Rev. Simmons managed to make it work for us! He also set us up with a great photographer (Rebecca Koenig), my husband hates getting his picture taken, but she made us feel so comfortable that he forgot about that.
