Hi, we're Sam and Allen of Rae & Rey Studio, a husband-and-wife photography team from Orange County. Sam grew up here, and we've been photographing couples, families and brands since 2017.
We love small, personal days: elopements on the coast or in the mountains, intimate weddings, and celebrations with the people who matter most. We also photograph portraits, family and maternity sessions, newborns and brands, and rent out our natural-light home studio in Mission Viejo by the hour.
We travel all over California, especially to Mammoth Lakes, where we have a place of our own, and to Yosemite. Our photos are warm and natural, focused on real moments and good light.

We're based in Orange County, California, and, yes, we love to travel. Whether your celebration is in Laguna Beach, Yosemite, or across the world, we're always ready to follow the story wherever it unfolds.
A first look is a private moment before the ceremony where you see each other for the first time. It often calms nerves, allows for more relaxed portraits, and gives you extra time together. It's completely optional, but most couples tell us it was one of their favorite parts of the day.
Absolutely. Deep breaths, most couples say this. We guide you with natural prompts so you can move, laugh, and connect without feeling overly posed. Our job is to help you feel relaxed and present, not perform.
Our work is inspired by natural tones and the timeless feel of film. We intentionally adjust light and color so your images feel true to the atmosphere of the day. You can explore more of our editing style in our portfolio.
We offer engagement sessions, adventure sessions, and film photography add-ons for a timeless, nostalgic touch. Samantha can also provide signature makeup services for sessions and special occasions. Just ask us for more details.
