It all began in 1998 with an idea for Wine Country. . . in Horse Country.
Equus Run Vineyards was born out of family, friendships and our local community in transforming a tobacco and cattle farm into a tourism destination. The winery produces wines of varietal character from the limestone soils and presents an entertainment schedule for all to enjoy. There are 38 acres to explore, sip and stroll.
We invite you to “Visit the Vineyard, Taste the Experience”. We welcome you to the Bluegrass. Horses are always welcome.

I am so happy that we chose Equus Run Vineyards as our wedding venue. We got married in September, which was the perfect time of year and everything was just perfect. The staff was very helpful in keeping us informed about any changes to the venue and even had a "Plan B" in case of rain. My guests were extremely impressed by the professional way our event was handled and were treated with such respect. I was sceptical at using Equus Run as our venue, after reading some reviews, but after speaking to the Event Coordinator and Staff, there is no where else I would have been happy. They showed us great support! Thank you Equus Run for making our day exceptional. We will be back for our 1st anniversary...if not sooner!
