People Often Ask
The Herlong Mansion offers 13 guest bedrooms, which includes 11 rooms in the main mansion and two cottages. All overnight stays include a fresh, hot breakfast and daily house-made cookies.
We specialize in intimate gatherings and can accommodate outdoor weddings and events of up to approximately 80 to 100 guests on our beautiful South Lawn. Larger events require rental of all rooms for two nights.
Because we are located in the historic, residential town of Micanopy, outdoor music must conclude by 9:30 PM. We also require sound to be maintained within the Alachua County decibel limits.
Depending on the size of the event, we can cater in-house, recommend a trusted local caterer or you can select one of your choice.
As each event is unique, we will discuss what we can offer. We do have many tables and chairs, etc. If you would like to rent from another vendor, we have recommendations or you are welcome to hire your preference.
Our dining room seats 22 guests.
For events larger than 22-
We can arrange an event on the front patio.
We have the lawn in front of the gazebo.

Yes! You can reserve the entire Herlong Mansion. This option provides your group with private, exclusive access.
Depending on circumstances, you may be required to rent a luxury portable restroom for your event at a separate fee with the vendor.
Yes, the mansion features a beautiful, tuned piano built in 1887, which is available for guests who wish to have live indoor acoustic music for their gathering. This will depend upon circumstances such as if there are other guests not included in your event, time of day/night. Within reason.
