Over the 9 was a perfect place to host our VIP reception after a recent event. The upstairs room is quaint yet holds quite a few people and the food was excellent. The chef and the serving staff were wonderful to work with as well as the events coordinator Christine.

The customer service was wonderful, Christine provided us with everything she promised and more! Their hard work, delicious food and perfect location helped make our event a success. After hosting at several other locations, this is by far my favorite.

When we were searching for a venue, The Loft @ Over the 9 was the last one that we looked at and we loved it so much we booked it that day. Christine was so friendly! Though there were a couple of times when emails got lost and we had to call back several times (which we also had with other vendors even while searching for places), I would book this place again in a heartbeat. The venue was gorgeous and very open to decorating ideas. The catered food from there was AMAZING! We were able to book when the venue cost, catering, and alcohol packages were all rolled into just one cost per person which made the whole process that much easier for us. The chef was really accommodating as well as Christine. Christine herself really shined the day before the wedding during our rehearsal and the day of the wedding. She made sure everything ran smooth and helped make sure that I was not stressing out too much. During both set up and clean up times she did whatever she could to help, even beginning to take down things at the end of the night to let us continue to dance away until the last minute we could. I highly recommend this place to go check out!

Super cool venue that we easily transformed into a sophisticated atmosphere with hundreds of candles! Appetizers were passed and were plentiful. Food was delicious. I walked in early to check out the venue and the staff was literally wiping down every single piece of silverware before placing on table! Lots of attention to detail. Christine Marshall is a real professional and helped me pull this off without a hitch even though I live almost 400 miles away!

We went to River Bend Winery for a wine tasting and dinner. The food was absolutely fantastic and really enjoyed trying some of their different wines. The casual atmosphere was nice and on one occasion they even had live music playing. We plan to go back again sometime soon!

I had a great time as the Bride of Honor at this wedding (maybe to much fun ; ) ). I also had a big part in planning it. These people were able to take care of everything and they really came through and made this a great experience worth talking about. Almost a one stop shop for throwing the party. Remodeling until April 1, 2018 Are you interested in a historic setting for your event? Jim Miller Hall is a real treasure! The cornerstone was laid on July 3, 1833. After a fire destroyed the original building, the new building was dedicated on September 8, 1895. It was purchased by the Thoroughbred Chorus in 1981. The building was known as Thoroughbred Hall until recently when the Thoroughbreds renamed the building after Director Emeritus Jim Miller who led the Thoroughbred Chorus to 6 of their 7 International Championship wins. Jim Miller Hall is conveniently located at 10609 Watterson Trail, in the heart of Jeffersontown. It is the perfect location for your event. This historic church building can comfortably accommodate your guests. The large stained glass windows make beautiful backgrounds for your pictures. There is a kitchen for food preparation by you or the caterer of your choice. Alcohol is allowed with moderate consumption, however, you can not sell it! Smoking is prohibited in the building. Tables and chairs are provided for parties of up to 150-200 guests. Ample parking is available. The large kitchen includes two refrigerators, upright freezer, stove, microwave above the stove as well as a food warmer to keep your food warm until it is time to serve it. 200 white fan back chairs, multiple 6 foot tables and 2 round 6 foot tables to use for cake table, wedding party, gift table, etc. are also available for your use. We recently repaired some of the stained glass windows to maintain the beauty of this historic building. Jim Miller Hall rents for $1000 for Saturdays, from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM. You may rent the day before, if available, for an additional $100 allowing access to the facility beginning at noon. We require a $250, nonrefundable, Reservation Deposit when we sign the lease to hold the hall exclusively for you. We require a standard $200.00 damage deposit, just prior to your event, which can be secured with a credit or debit card, cash, money order or certified or cashier's check, when you receive a key code to the hall. The intimate yet spacious 2500 square foot sanctuary proudly displays the original art gallery quality, hand painted – stained, leaded glass windows that are as beautiful as they are vibrant. Creating an inviting, unique atmosphere, The St Catherine is the ideal intimate setting for small weddings, receptions, fund – raisers, community events, private parties, celebrations, and conferences. The sanctuary most comfortably seats 100 – 125 people, with additional seating in the “gym” for up to 180.
