The Crescent City Collection (CCC), performs in a duo or trio format, to play music from Louisiana and New Orleans - traditional jazz, blues, Dixieland, and R&B standards, the swinging "Gypsy Jazz of Django Rinehardt, and other classic selections from the American Songbook. Our music is influenced by Buddy Bolden, Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Pete Fountain, Sidney Bechet, Fats Domino, Alan Toussaint, Django Reinhardt and many others. John Ewart is a dual resident of Lewes, Delaware and New Orleans, Louisiana. His musical background includes playing a variety of styles from blues to zydeco, but he mostly enjoys traditional/New Orleans and classic Django "Gypsy" jazz standards from the 20’s, 30’s and 40's. He formed the CCC in summer 2018 to introduce audiences in Delaware to classic New Orleans music and to contribute to the local jazz tradition in the Crescent City.
